Large Lawn Areas (for less consistent water coverage with fewer heads)
Shrubs
Trees
Gardens
Buildings
Driveways
Walkways
Static drawing tool for visual accentuation.
Easily ‘show’ or ‘hide’ objects on the screen or printout:
Plots (property areas)
Heads
System
Piping
Head numbers
Water Management Features and Benefits:
Tracks available water flow and working pressure
Suggests plot water demand for different area types (lawns, shrubs, trees, and gardens).
Calculates precipitation rates for watered areas.
Recommends watering times for areas based upon:
Precipitation rates (calculated from head flow and square footage of area).
Soil type (sandy loam, silty loam, or clay).
Solar exposure (sunny, shady or neutral).
Slope (in degrees) of area.
Water demand for the area.
Sprinkler Head Configuration – Features and Benefits:
Automatic Head Layout function fills an area with preferred sprinkler heads (and related parts) with the click of a button.
Enables selectable area “control borders” for fitting heads precisely along a chosen border (or along all borders in rectangular areas).
Calculates head position, head spacing, spray radius, spray pattern within the parameters of available pressure and water flow.
Supports adjustable as well as fixed pattern heads.
Supports integrated heads as well as separate nozzles and bodies.
Wind velocity settings adjust head spacing in windy areas.
Triangular or square head spacing supported.
Supports all plot area sizes and shapes (including rectangles, curved sides, circles, polygons or any combination of these shapes.)
Automatically assigns preferred headsite parts (risers, ells, etc) to each headsite.
Manual Head Layout features a simple, yet detailed process for adding or editing any headsite.
Selected nozzle displays compatible nozzle bodies for selection and configuration.
Supports adjustable, circular, square, and rectangular (strip) heads.
Head graphic on properties screen provides visual aid to head parameter adjustments.
Adjustable head parameters:
Aim (relative to the drawing)
Spray radius (or width for square or rectangular heads)
Spray pattern (for adjustable angle heads/bodies)
Calculated hydraulic measurements derived from the above adjustable parameters:
Water flow (GPM) from head Required pressure (PSI)
Precipitation rate (Inches/hour) of sprayed area
Zone/Manifold Configuration – Features and Benefits:
Automatic Zone Assignment function creates zones and assigns headsites to them automatically at the click of a button.
Supports multiple manifolds (for one or more plot areas).
Selectable linear or clustered head zone alignments.
Selectable plot area quadrant segmentation to support multiple manifolds.
Automatically assigns preferred zone parts (electric valves, drain valves, etc) to each zone.
Balances zone water requirements with available water flow and pressure to ensure proper and planned head operation.
Simple interface for manually adding or editing zones.
Select-and-add tool for adding unassigned heads to a zone.
Summarizes total required flow rate for zone as heads are assigned.
Displays water flow available and a warning if total flow approaches available flow.
System Pipe Configuration – Features and Benefits:
Automatic System Pipe Design function creates system pipe segments connecting headsites within a zone and a main line to the parent zone’s manifold.
Offers these main line orientation options:
Point-to-Point: Follows along a line directly connecting the parent manifold and center of zone lateral lines.
X-Axis: Follows along the x-axis of the drawing and then along the y-axis to the center of the zone lateral lines.
Y-Axis: Follows along the y-axis of the drawing and then along the x-axis to the center of the zone lateral lines.
Connects the main line to the center of the zone’s lateral lines to ensure equal water pressure to the extreme heads.
Creates system piping for either a specific zone, an entire manifold, or all zones on all the system’s manifolds.
Intuitive interface for manual design of system pipe.
Assign system pipe type to either a specific zone, an entire manifold supplying several zones, or to all manifolds in the project.
Pipe color matches parent zone colors for easy identification.
System pipe lengths are summarized in zone and entire project reports.
Parts Management Features and Benefits:
Project ‘preferences’ for quick and easy parts selection from preferred product series.
Head locations, zones, manifolds ‘own’ their own parts lists.
Features a separate location for miscellaneous project parts (tools, accessories, etc)
Parts ‘cloning’ for fast parts additions to like objects.
Automatically matches pipe fittings to preferred pipe type.
Includes all parts categories essential to a total design solution:
Sprinkler heads and nozzles
Nozzle bodies Pipe (risers, zone piping, manifold piping, entrance piping, etc)
Pipe fittings (all) Clocks & Timers Tools (wrenches, pipe cutters, shovels, etc)
